Current Context : Bihar is set to host the Women’s Kabaddi World Cup 2025 in March, marking its second time hosting this prestigious event after the inaugural tournament in 2012.

  • The tournament will be held at the Rajgir Sports Academy, featuring an indoor stadium with a seating capacity of 5,000 spectators.
  • Participation:A total of 14 countries are expected to compete, including:
  • Asian Nations:India, China, Japan, South Korea, Nepal, and potentially Pakistan.
  • Other Regions:Teams from Europe, Africa, and South America, with countries like Poland and Argentina anticipated to participate.

Bihar previously hosted the first Women’s Kabaddi World Cup in 2012 at the Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna, where India emerged victorious against Iran in the final.
