The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM) has issued a stern warning to Ayurveda, Siddha, and Unani medical colleges across India.
About NCISM:
- Statutory body established under the NCISM Act, 2020.
- Operates under the Ministry of Ayush.
- Oversees the Board of Ayurveda, Board of Unani, Siddha, and Sowarigpa.
Objectives:
- Ensure the availability of adequate, high-quality medical professionals in Indian Systems of Medicine (ISM).
- Promote the adoption of the latest medical research among ISM professionals.
- Conduct periodic assessments of ISM medical institutions.
