Current Context : Lahaul and Spiti district has been severely impacted by adverse weather conditions. A flashflood in Changut Nullah damaged a bridge near Karpat village, which has disrupted travel towards the remote Miyar Valley, cutting it off from Udaipur subdivision.

ABOUT MIYAR VALLEY

Location: Situated in the Lahaul and Spiti district, Miyar Valley lies in the northeastern part of Himachal Pradesh.
Elevation: The valley is situated at an altitude of approximately 3,300 meters (10,800 feet) above sea level.
Geography: It is nestled between the Zanskar Range and the Great Himalayas.
Terrain: rugged terrain, high mountain ranges, and lush green meadows. It is surrounded by snow-capped peaks and offers dramatic landscapes.
