  • The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) as a part of the Earth Day Celebrations, installed and activated India’s biggest Climate Clock on the CSIR Headquarters Building in Rafi Marg, New Delhi.


  • The Climate Clock shows how much time is left before continued CO2 emissions lock in at least 5 degrees of global warming, a key threshold for global climate goals under the Paris agreement.
  • The planet is about 1.1 degrees Celsius hotter than it was before the Industrial Revolution due to carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossil fuels.
