Solar Power Project in Pekhubela

Current Context : Recently, chief minister of Himachal inaugurated the 32 MW solar power project in Pekhubela, Una.

• It is developed by Himachal Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL)
• Project features 82,656 solar modules with electricity being transmitted through the Rakkad-Tahliwal Transmission line.
• Project is spread over 49 hectares.
• Electricity production – 61 crore units of electricity each year by generating Rs 19.17 crore revenue.
• It reduce carbon emissions by 2,532 tonne annually.
