Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi scheme

CURRENT CONTEXT : Recently, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu released Rs 3.27 crore under the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana to 7,280 women of Una district.

ABOUT SCHEME

• Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana ensures that women can live with dignity and manage small expenses independently.
• Objective : to provide financial assistance to the poor and helpless women of the state.
• Under this scheme, women aged between 18 to 59 years will be given an amount of ₹1500 every month.
• It aims to cover over five lakh women by offering them financial assistance.
