International Nurses Day

International Nurses Day is celebrated on 12 May every year to honour the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale.
She was an English social reformer and statistician who is often regarded as the founder of modern nursing.
On this day, we celebrate the tireless work, compassion and dedication of nurses, who are the backbone of medical institutions, providing care and comfort to the patients.
This year, the International Council of Nurses has announced the theme as ‘Our Nurses Our Future, The Economic Power of Care’.
