Current Context: The Department of Biotechnology (DBT), through its Grand Challenges India (GCI) initiative at Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), announced the successful scientific review and validation of India’s first indigenously developed Human Papillomavirus (HPV) test kits for cervical cancer screening.
