Himachal Pradesh Launches ‘My Deed’ NGDRS Pilot Project

CURRENT CONTEXT Himachal Pradesh launched the ‘My Deed’ pilot (National Generic Document Registration System), enabling citizens to register land with just one in-person visit.

 ABOUT THE PILOT PROJECT

• Scale & Reach : Started in 10 tehsils: Bilaspur Sadar, Dalhousie, Galore, Jaisinghpur, Bhuntar, Padhar, Kumarsain, Rajgarh, Kandaghat, Bangana .
• Digital Platforms Introduced
• Online land registration: Residents can apply anytime from anywhere, needing just one visit for final signing.
• Simplified Jamabandi: Land records now in easy Hindi—Urdu, Arabic, and Farsi removed.
• e‑Roznamcha Vakyati: Digital diary for Patwari daily work logging.
• Kaarguzari: Online attendance and service reporting system.
• Online mutation & court modules: Citizens can file petitions and get summons digitally.
• Design Goals : Emphasise paperless, presence-less, cashless services for convenience and transparency.
