FREEDOM EDGE MILITARY EXERCISE

Current Context: United States, South Korea, and Japan have begun their joint air and naval military exercise “Freedom Edge” near South Korea’s Jeju Island.

The exercise aims to strengthen trilateral defense cooperation in response to North Korea’s growing nuclear and missile threats. North Korea has criticized the drill as a provocation.
