Current Context : Shri Dhiraj Singh, an Indian Information Service (IIS) Officer of the 1995 batch, has taken charge as Director, Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune.

• Established in 1960 and initially known as the ‘Film Institute of India’, the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII).
• Location : Pune, Maharashtra
• FTII operates as an Autonomous Society under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, governed by a Council and led by its Director.
• It offers a variety of diploma and certificate courses in film direction, cinematography, editing, sound, acting, and other related fields.
