Current Context : Cyril Ramaphosa is elected as the President of South Africa for second term.

  • Cyril Ramaphosa was re-elected after a deal was signed between his African National Congress (ANC) Party and  the centre-right Democratic Alliance (DA) and other smaller parties to form a coalition government.
  • He was elected as the President of South Africa for the first time on 15 February 2018.

  • Nelson Mandela was elected as the first Black President of South Africa in 1994.
