Australia-India Strategic Research Fund (AISRF)

Current Context : Union Minister of State for Science and Technology unveiled the results of 15th round of the Australia-India Strategic Research Fund (AISRF).

ABOUT AISRF

• Established in 2006.
• It is a bilateral program that supports collaborative research projects in science between Australia and India.
• Objectives: to strengthen the scientific relationship between the two countries and address common challenges through joint research efforts.
• It is funding projects across various disciplines, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, biotechnology, urban mining and electronic waste recycling.
• Priority areas : Artificial Intelligence and machine learning, New and Renewable energy technologies (particularly ultra-low-cost solar and clean hydrogen), and Urban mining and electronic waste recycling.
