Current Context: Lahaul and Spiti district in Himachal Pradesh has become the first in the state where all top administrative and political positions are held by women. This milestone in gender-inclusive governance fulfills Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s commitment to designating a women-led district, announced earlier in the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha.
