Saryu River

Current Context : Recently, a 35-year-old woman died after drowning in the Saryu River in Kapkot.

ABOUT SARYU RIVER:

  • Location & Origin: The Saryu River originates from the foothills of the Himalayas, near Sarmool in Uttarakhand.
  • Course: It flows through Kapkot, Bageshwar, and Seraghat towns before merging with the Sharada (Kali) River at Pancheshwar on the India-Nepal border.
