World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA) of International Telecommunication Union (ITU) will be held in New Delhi from October 14 to 24, 2024.
- Organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), specifically its Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T), which is responsible for developing international telecom standards.
- Purpose: WTSA defines the work programs and methods of ITU-T study groups for the next four years. It is a critical platform for developing global telecom standards, influencing the future of 5G, 6G, and other emerging technologies.
- Participants: More than 190 countries are expected to participate, along with 1,800 to 2,000 delegates from governments, the ICT industry, and standardization bodies.
