Current Context : Recently, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated IIS Mumbai to develop an industry-ready workforce for Industry 4.0.

• Aim : to make India a key player in modern industrial sectors and prepare the youth for future job markets.
• The institute is a collaboration between the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Tata IIS, part of Tata Trusts.
• Goal : to equip students with skills that meet global industry needs, positioning India as a global hub for human resources.
• Focus on Advanced Technologies: Training is offered in areas like factory automation, digital manufacturing, AI, mechatronics, data analytics, and additive manufacturing.
• Courses and Collaborations: The institute provides both full-time and short-term courses, partnering with industry leaders such as Fanuc India and SMC India for hands-on learning with real industry equipment.
