Third Round Table Conference (RTC) 17th Nov – 24th Dec 1932

Context

It was attended by only 46 delegates and was boycotted by Indian National Congress as well as Labour Party in Britain.
Main participants included – Agha Khan III, BR Ambedkar, NM Joshi, Ramasami Mudaliar, Begum Jahanara Shahnawaz, TB Sapru, Sir Purshottam Das Thakurdas etc.

Outcome

British prepared a White Paper on the new Constitution of India.
It was published in March 1933 and contained four major proposals:

Creation of an All India Federation comprising of British India and Indian Princely States

Provincial Autonomy i.e. responsible government in Provinces

Dyarchy at Centre

Safeguards which vested special powers in central and provincial executive.
