Hemchandra: Born as Changadeva, he was ordained in the Śvētāmbara school of Jainism in 1110 and took the name Somachandra. In 1125 he became an adviser to King Kumarapala and wrote Arhanniti, a work on politics from a Jain perspective. He also produced Trishashti-shalaka-purusha-charita
BHANBHATTA: Sanskrit prose writer and poet of India. He was the Asthana Kavi in the court of King Harsha Vardhana , who reigned c. 606–647 CE in north India first from Sthanvishvara (Thanesar), and later Kannauj. Bāna’s principal works include a biography of Harsha, the Harshacharita (Deeds of Harsha) and one of the world’s earliest novels, Kadambari.
Bāṇa died before finishing the novel and it was completed by his son Bhūṣaṇabhaṭṭa. Both these works are noted texts of Sanskrit literature.
The other works attributed to him are the Chaṇḍikāśataka and a drama, the Pārvatīpariṇaya.
Jinasen: Was a monk and scholar in the Digambara tradition of Jainism. He was patronized by the Rashtrakuta king Amoghavarsha I. He was the author of Adipurana and Mahapurana.
Jaideva: Was a Sanskrit poet during the 12th century. He is most known for his epic poem Gita Govinda which concentrates on Krishna’s love with the gopi, Radha, in a rite of spring.
