About the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre

• The manuals and the newsletter prepared by the Cyber and Information Security Division (CIS) of the Union home ministry are ‘Cyber Hygiene for Cyber Space – Dos and Don’ts – Basic Manual’, ‘Cyber Hygiene for Cyber Space – Dos and Don’ts – Advanced Manual’ and the quarterly newsletter ‘Cyber Pravah’.
• The manuals are part of a focused awareness campaign for prevention of cyber-crimes and to inculcate cyber hygiene in rural areas, industrial bodies, and the general public.
• ‘CyberPravah’ covers introduction to I4C, various activities of I4C in two quarters (from April-June,2021 and July-September, 2021), cybercrime trends and patterns, statistics, facilities created by I4C, platforms for reporting and addressing cyber-crimes to make all stakeholders aware, and to provide assistance in the area of cyber-crime prevention, detection and investigation.
• It also aims to create awareness about recent developments in the field of cyber-crimes and cyber-crime terminology.
• The I4C was set up under the CIS division in 2018 as an agency for coordinating at the central level and to support states and union territories by providing a common framework in their fight against cybercrimes.
• The I4C is spreading mass awareness through various social media handles in the name of ‘CyberDost’ by providing cyber safety tips at frequent intervals for the public.

• Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched a 100-day reading campaign ‘Padhe Bharat’ recently.

About ‘Padhe Bharat’

• The launch of the 100 Days Reading Campaign is in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 which lays emphasis on the promotion of joyful reading culture for children by ensuring the availability of age-appropriate reading books for children in local/mother tongue/regional/tribal language.
• The Minister while launching the campaign has underlined the importance of reading that children need to develop to ensure continuous and lifelong learning. He also reinforced that the habit of reading, if inculcated at an early age, helps in brain development and enhances imagination and provide a conducive learning environment for children.
• Padhe Bharat campaign will focus on children studying in Balvatika to Grade 8. The reading campaign will be organized for 100 days (14 weeks) starting from January 1, 2022, to April 10, 2022. The reading campaign aims to have the participation of all stakeholders at the national and state level including children, teachers, parents, community, educational administrators etc. One activity per week per group has been designed with the focus on making reading enjoyable and build a lifelong association with the joy of reading. This campaign has also been aligned with the vision and goals of the foundational Literacy and Numeracy mission.
• The 100 days reading campaign will also focus on Indian languages including mother tongue/local/regional languages.
• Hence, 100 days Reading Campaign is envisaged to support and encourage students, along with their schools, teachers, parents, and communities, in every possible way and encourage children to read for a joyful learning experience.

• Sebi has restructured its advisory committee on market data that recommends policy measures pertaining to areas like securities market data access and privacy.

About the restructured advisory committee

• Rejigging its market data advisory committee, Sebi has said the panel will now be chaired by S Sahoo, Professor at National Law University, Delhi and former chairperson, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (IBBI), as per the latest information with the regulator.
• The 20-member committee was earlier headed by Madhabi Puri Buch, ex-whole-time member of Sebi.
• Apart from Sahoo, the panel has CEOs of stock exchanges and depositories, representatives of various stakeholders and senior officials of Sebi as members.
• The scope of the work of the committee includes identifying segment-wise data perimeters, data needs and gaps, recommending data privacy and data access regulations applicable to market data.
• It is responsible for recommending appropriate policy for access to securities market data.
• In addition, the committee recommends standardization of data definitions; data identification logic (usage of uniform codes for identifying and storing data – raw data and derived data) and data validation techniques (single source of truth, validation).

• A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between AIIMS, Bilaspur, and the Lahaul-Spiti administration today for better health facilities to people of the district through the integrated tele-medicine platform.
