• Dravida style of temple architecture
  Pallavas were the original creators of Dravidian style of temple architecture in the south. The art includes building tall vimanas, kalyanis, specially sculpted shikharas etc. Their art form is seen in temples such as Kailasnath temple, shore temple etc.
• Rock cut architecture
  The chaitya and vihara style of rock cut architecture was patronised by Pallavas. They built many rock cut hall and auditorium using this style. Famous structure includes Mandagapattu.
• Cave temple architecture
  Pallavas also constructed many cave temples in Mahabalipuram. These cave temples were influenced by Deccan style of cave temples. Some famous cave temples include Adiranchanda cave temples built by Mahendravarman.

Art contribution

·         Paintings:-Pallavas were patrons of painting art especially murals. Their most famous works can be found in Sittanavasal caves. They were also patrons of Jain style of paintings.

·         Sculpture art:-Famous sculpture art of Pallavas are located in Mahabalipuram. Their art includes Pancharathas of Pandavas, descent of the Ganges, Krishna’s butter ball etc. The shore temple is famous for sculpture of Shiva and Vishnu.
