Answer:

For India’s chance for UNSC permanent seat.

India is the founding member of the UN and has been elected for eight terms for non-permanent member seat.

India being the largest democracy and second-most populous country in the world, are the primary reasons for it to be granted permanent membership in UNSC.

India is one of the largest economies and fastest-growing economies of the world.

India’s acquired status of a Nuclear Weapon State.

India has been inducted in various export control Regimes like MTCR, Wassenaar arrangement, etc.

Representing the developing World through its leadership role in the Non -Aligned Movement.

Against India’s Bid for UNSC permanent seat.

India has still not signed the Nuclear non-proliferation treaty and also refused to sign the Nuclear Test Ban Treaty.

China, which has veto power in the UNSC is also a major Roadblock.
