ABOUT THE AWARD: COMPANION OF THE ORDER OF FIJI

  • It is one of the highest honors awarded by Fiji.
  • It is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to Fiji or who have demonstrated exemplary service and leadership in various fields.
  • The award recognizes outstanding achievements and contributions in areas such as diplomacy, humanitarian work, and international relations.

Diplomatic relations between India and Fiji were formally established in 1970 when Fiji gained independence. Since then, the relationship has grown through various diplomatic engagements.
